Dayton Dragons left-handed pitcher Scott Moss has been selected as the Midwest League Pitcher of the Week for the week ending June 4.
Moss made two starts during the week (1-0) and did not allow a run in 11 innings, surrendering just three hits with five walks and 13 strikeouts.
For the year, Moss is 8-1 with a 2.14 earned run average. He leads the Midwest League in both wins and strikeouts.
Moss is a 21-year-old native of Deltona, Florida. He was the Reds fourth round draft pick in 2016 out of the University of Florida.
Moss is the second Dayton player to earn a MWL Player of the Week honor in 2017. Ryan Olson was the league’s Pitcher of the Week for the first week of the season.
