Dayton, OH – The Sinclair (18-8/9-3 OCCAC) Volleyball won their 7th match in a row and their 9th conference match tonightin a 3-0 sweep of Columbus State (13-9/8-5).
This was also the 800th win in program history dating back to 1975. Former AD and Volleyball Coach Norma Dycus has the most career wins with 407 followed by Coach Gan with 355 and counting.
In a match between two well coached teams, points were hard to come by. After gaining a 5 point lead in the first set, Sinclair went on an 11-6 rally to take the opening set 25-15.
The second set was as advertised as both teams tried to knock the other out. Finally down the stretch, Sinclair put together a couple of hard fought points to take the second set 25-23.
Once again the third set went right down to the wire as both teams could not pull away. In the end, Sinclair seemed to have too much size at the net and was able to keep the Cougars from scoring. Another 25-23 win and a well-played 3-0 victory.
