Cincinnati Ohio – The Cincinnati Bengals made 22 roster moves today to get down the NFL limit of 53 players.
They released two players under the Waived/injured category: Jason DiManche (Knee) and Marcus Flowers (Shoulder)
Placed Vontaze Burfict (Knee) on the Reserve/Physically unable to perform list: (Burfict will remain with the team for rehab and meetings, but may not practice for weeks 1-6 of the regular season. Beginning the week following Week 6, he will begin his window of eligibility to return to practice under a roster exemption, if medically cleared).
They terminated the contracts of two veterans, releasing them to free agency: Cornerback Brandon Ghee and Safety Shiloh Keo.
Cincinnati also waived 17 players: Wide Receiver Michael Bennett, Guard Dan France, Guard Tanner Hawkinson, Cornerback Troy Hill, Tight end Matt Lengel, Wide Receiver Jake Kumerow, Kicker Tom Obarski, Offensive Tackle Matthew O’Donnell, Safety Floyd Raven, Trevor Roach, Center Jake Smith, Defensive Tackle Devon Still, H-Back Terrell Watson, Quarterback Keith Wenning, H-Back James Wilder Jr. and Defensive tackle DeShawn Williams.
With the exception of Devon Still, all players waived today will be eligible to be signed to an NFL practice squad if they clear waivers tomorrow. The Bengals will announce tomorrow a practice squad of up to 10 players
