Dayton Ohio –  The Sinclair Volleyball team played it’s first home match of the 2015 season last night against Vincennes University out of Southern Indiana.

Sinclair (1-1) came out strong in game one racking up easy early points before Vincennes (3-1) got settled into the match. The visiting Trailblazers helod on to the following game  to even the match at 1-1.

Vincennes was able to squeak out a hard fought win in game three with key kills and impressive saves to hold off the Tartan Pride. With their backs against the wall and needing a win to stay alive, Sinclair rallied time after time to finally take game four and force a fifth and deciding game.

Vincennes was looking to finish game five early as they jumped out to a powerful 8-4 margin. Not ready to through in the towel on the home opener, Sinclair pushed back and was able to pull even at 11-11. In the end the Trailblazers had a little too much power and experience and finished the match winning 15-13 .

The busy weekend will continue as both teams travel to Toledo for the Owens Invitational Saturday and Sunday. Sinclair will return home next Friday and Saturday the fourth and fifth of September as they take on Owens and Lorain County.
