Dayton, Ohio - The Sinclair Men’s Basketball traveled across the border to Richmond, Indiana to take on NAIA power Indiana University-East last night in the season’s first scrimmage.
Even though the 88-84 victory on the scoreboard indicated a success, a number of items need work for the upcoming season. The Pride shot the ball well for the first time against live action, 49.2% from the field and 69.2% from the free throw line. Sinclair had 8 different players attempt at least one three point shot with the team shooting 33.3%.
A group of sophomores lead the way as DeAngalo Gates (6-2/Dayton, OH) had 14 points, Akiean Frederick (6-8/Columbus, OH) 14 points and 9 rebounds, Marcellous Washington (6-1/Lexington, KY) 13 points and Reshardd Harris (6-4/Detroit, MI) 13 points.
